Terms of service

1. What Just My Day is
Just My Day is an iOS app — a private journal that sends short notifications (pings) at random moments of the day, lets you save a note (a tag, text, a photo, a selfie or a voice recording), and in the evening composes the story of your day from the saved notes. Over time it shows patterns, your weekly rhythm and periodic recaps. The service is provided by Dariusz Biel, the operator of the Just My Day app (contact: kontakt@justmyday.app), referred to below as “we”.
By using the app or the justmyday.app website you accept these terms. The app is currently available in beta through TestFlight — see section 8.
2. Account
- an account (email and a name or nickname) is required to use the app,
- you must be at least 16 years old,
- you are responsible for securing access to your device and account; sign-in is protected by Face ID / Touch ID,
- you can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account) — deletion is permanent and covers all your data.
3. Your content
The notes you save (tags, text, photos, recordings, transcripts) remain yours. You grant us only a limited technical licence to store and process them to the extent necessary to run the service (for example, to compose the evening story). We do not publish your content — the app has no social features.
4. Acceptable use
When using the service, you agree not to:
- use it in a way that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others,
- attempt to compromise the security of the service (including unauthorised access, circumventing protections, or vulnerability testing without consent),
- disrupt the service (for example with automated, bulk requests),
- resell the service or share your account with third parties.
In case of a serious violation we may suspend or close an account — where possible with prior notice and time to export your data.
5. The Just My Day Pro subscription
- some features (deeper AI patterns, full history, yearly recaps) are part of the paid Just My Day Pro subscription,
- the subscription is purchased exclusively through the App Store (Apple StoreKit); current prices and billing periods are shown in the app before purchase,
- the subscription renews automatically until cancelled — you cancel it in your Apple ID settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions) at least 24 hours before the end of the current period,
- refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its own rules (reportaproblem.apple.com),
- when the subscription lapses you lose no data — you return to the free tier.
6. This is not a medical tool
Just My Day is a journal and a self-reflection tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and it is no substitute for a doctor, psychologist or psychotherapist. AI-generated content (stories, discoveries) is observational, not health advice. If you are in crisis, please contact a professional or a free support line.
7. Liability
We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability — especially during the beta. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
8. Beta (TestFlight)
The beta may contain bugs and features may change. Apple's TestFlight terms additionally apply. You can request a copy of your data at any time (kontakt@justmyday.app).
9. Changes to these terms
We will announce significant changes in the app or on the website with reasonable notice. If you do not accept the changes, you can stop using the service and delete your account before they take effect.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you retain the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you habitually reside. Consumer disputes can also be referred to the European Commission's ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
